Oxford University produced a rich crop of poets in the 20th century – from First World War poets like Robert Graves and Edmund Blunden, through the ‘pylon poets’ of the 1920s and 1930s, such as W H Auden and Louis MacNeice, to Philip Larkin, Keith Douglas and distinguished contemporary poets.
