Welcome to a Very Short Introduction soapbox. A short talk lasting 15 minutes from an expert in the field. The talk is free and takes place in Blackwell’s Marquee, next to the Sheldonian Theatre.

Zoology professor Peter Holland explains how our understanding of the animal world and its evolution has been greatly enhanced by our understanding of DNA. He explains how the animal world is now grouped based on molecular data. Holland is Linacre Professor of Zoology at the University of Oxford.
