Historian Dr Fitzroy Morrissey looks back over 14 centuries of Islamic history and provides a guide to understanding one of the world’s great religions.

Morrissey goes back to the foundation of Islam in the 7th century and the life of Muhammad and follows the story through the growth of Islamic empires to the modern era. He presents the teaching of key texts and analyses the great works of Islamic theology, law, and philosophy.
