About this Event:

Former Labour Cabinet Minister Jack Straw tells how a boy from a humble background grew up to spend 13 years at the heart of the longest-serving Labour administration in history including spells as Home Secretary, Foreign Secretary and Lord Chancellor . Straw offers a unique insight into British politics over the last 40 years, in particular the Blair/Brown era. He reveals the toll that high office can take but also the extraordinary satisfaction to be gained from serving constituents and country.

Here he talks to one of the most recognisable faces on our televisions, the BBC’s political editor Nick Robinson.
