About this Event:

A journalist and an academic and writer look at modern-day Iran and reflect on the implications of it becoming a nuclear state.

James Buchan has been visiting Iran for nearly 40 years. In Days of God, he gives an inside view of the Iranian Revolution and the way it brought about a quarter century of warfare. Mehri Honarbin-Holliday is an academic and author of Becoming Visible in Iran: Women in Contemporary Iranian Society, which disputes western stereotypes about Muslim women and shows how they are challenging the patriarchal conceptions of their society.

Discussions will be chaired by journalist Ann Leslie.
