About this Event:

This dinner marks the launch of the new programme on American literature and culture.

To celebrate the exceptional contribution of the United States of America to world literature and culture, each year the festival will assemble distinguished novelists, writers and speakers to lecture, debate and discuss the history, current standing and possible evolution of American letters and society.

The founding partners of this programme are the Bodleian Libraries, the University of Arizona, the Rothermere American Institute and Oxford Brookes University.

The dinner will be staged in the dramatic interior of the 15th-century Divinity School and provides an opportunity to meet visiting American speakers as well as leading authorities from the UK on all aspects of American studies.
