Professor Viktor Mayer-Schönberger explains how the era of big data will change our lives, shaking up healthcare, government, education, economics and the humanitries, and what threats it holds for us. He argues that the age of big data will need new rules to safeguard the sanctity of the individual and avoid dictatorship by data.
