Welcome to a Very Short Introduction soapbox. A short talk lasting 15 minutes from an expert in the field. The talk is free and takes place in Blackwell’s Marquee, next to the Sheldonian Theatre.

Philosopher, writer and editor of The Philosopher’s Magazine Julian Baggini sets out to dispel the myth that atheism is a dark and pessimistic belief. He argues that a life without religious belief can be positive, meaningful and moral, and presents a case for atheism based on its truth rather than on arguments against religion.
