Writer and founder of The Philosophers’ Magazine Julian Baggini tackles the question that has puzzled philosophers and theologians for centuries – do we have a free will? Baggini explores the concept of free will with a mixture of philosophy, neuroscience, sociology and cognitive science. And he sets out to challenge contemporary thinking that suggests free will is nothing more than an illusion.

Baggini has written for many newspapers and for policy think tanks including the Institute of Public Policy Research, Demos and Counterpoint. He is author of the bestselling The Pig That Wants To Be Eaten, and of Do You Think What You Think You Think? (with Jeremy Stangroom), and What’s It All About?: Philosophy and the Meaning of Life.
