About this Event:
Welcome to a Very Short Introduction soapbox. A short talk lasting 15 minutes from an expert in the field. The talk is free and takes place in the Blackwell book tent.
Evolution can be compared to a branching tree, but what is the shape of this tree? Who is related to whom, and how do we know? Peter Holland, Linacre Professor of Zoology at the University of Oxford, explains how DNA evidence has forced major changes to the tree of animal life, revealing unexpected cousins and distant relatives.
