About this Event:

Sam Moorhead and David Stuttard take a fresh approach to the story of Roman Britain through the eyes of the characters who conquered and ruled the land. The cast includes well-known figures, such as Caeser, Agricola and Boudica, and some less well-known ones, such as Carausulus, Magnentius and Valentius. They show how Roman Britain was shaped by men and women driven by ambition, aspiration and passion.

Moorhead, voted Archaeologist of the Year 2011 by readers of Current Archaeology, and Stuttard, who has written numerous works on the classical world, combine expertise, enthusiasm and a genius for storytelling.
