Economist, journalist and broadcaster Tim Harford explains in clear terms what it takes to run – or ruin – an economy. The author of the million-selling The Undercover Economist has a reputation as a brilliant explainer of economics. In his latest book, The Undercover Economist Strikes Back, he explains how the whole world economy works and answers questions such as: what would happen if we cancelled everyone’s debt? And what does the future hold for the Euro?

Harford is a senior columnist at the Financial Times, and the presenter of Radio 4’s More or Less. He has spoken at TED, PopTech and the Sydney Opera House and is a visiting fellow of Nuffield College, Oxford. He is Economics Commentator of the Year, 2014.
