Welcome to a Very Short Introduction soapbox. A short talk lasting 15 minutes from an expert in the field. The talk is free and takes place in Blackwell’s Marquee, next to the Sheldonian Theatre.

Practising barrister Charles Foster looks at what our rights are, particularly when things go wrong with our bodies. Issues such as organ transplantation, abortion, withdrawal of treatment, euthanasia, confidentiality, and research on humans affect us all. Foster is a fellow of Green Templeton College, the University of Oxford, and a barrister practising in medical law from Serjeants’ Inn Chambers, London.
