Writer and journalist Vanora Bennett introduces her new novel, The White Russian, a story of love, art, music and family secrets, set in the Russian émigré community of Paris in 1937. The story follows Evie, a rebellious young American in search of adventure in Paris where her grandmother lives. Her grandmother’s sudden death leads her to search out the mysterious man from her past, Zhenya, a quest that takes her into a world of murder plots, conspiracies, illicit love affairs and of White against Red Russian.

Bennett is an author and journalist who has covered political, military and religious conflicts around the world. She has written two non-fiction books and five novels, including Midnight in St Petersburg.
