Join the Costa Book Award-shortlisted author Ross Montgomery for a workshop on writing spellbinding stories.

Montgomery has written about a variety of subjects, including talking dogs, ravenous bears and raining biscuits. His new book, Perijee and Me, is a story of alien invasion with a typically original twist. Unlock your own stories in this special workshop in which Montgomery will help you make up your own strange worlds and fill them with fun characters.

Montgomery started writing stories as a teenager, when he really should have been doing homework, and continued doing so at university. After graduating, he experimented with working as a pig farmer and a postman before deciding to channel these skills into teaching at a primary school. His first novel, Alex, the Dog and the Unopenable Door, was published to huge critical acclaim. Nicolette Jones, of The Sunday Times, heralded him as ‘a remarkable new comic voice’. The Tornado Chaser followed and was also very well received.
