Naturalist, author and BBC broadcaster and producer Stephen Moss looks at the state of British wildlife today and argues that the country is able to make room for its wild creatures.

Moss travelled the length and breadth of Britain from remote St Kilda to inner cities to find out how our wildlife is faring. While the headlines describe much wildlife in trouble, Moss finds reason for hope in previously nature-free zones that have been re-wilded, in the return of otters to the Tyne and of beavers to the River Otter.

Moss has had a distinguished career as broadcaster and producer at the BBC Natural History Unit, working on programmes such as Springwatch, Birds Britannia and The Nature of Britain. He is also author of a number of books including Birds Britannia, Tweet of the Day, and A Bird in the Bush.
