Festival launches schools programme
This year’s festival features for the first time a series of exclusive events for schools. The programme includes appearances by Julian Clary, pictured right, and David Roberts; Polly Faber and Clara Vulliamy; Martin Brown; and John Dougherty.

New speakers added to the public children and young adult programme include teen ambassador and Radio 1 agony aunt Gemma Cairney, Geek Girl author Holly Smale, and Winnie the Witch author/illustrator Korky Paul.
