Update on rearranged events and credits
Dear friend
Thank you for your patience and support since the postponement of Oxford Literary Festival. I am writing to you, as promised, to update you on progress on rearranging events and on a system for credits for future festivals.
Rearranged events
We are planning to host several rearranged events, including some Sheldonian events, on the weekend of November 28 and 29 this year. We are also looking to rearrange some events for spring 2021. Your tickets will still be valid for these events. We will let you know by email when there is a new date for an event you have booked. These rearranged events will be subject to the public health situation in the autumn and will not be open for any new bookings until we are sure they can take place.
Donations
We have been overwhelmed by your messages of support and offers to donate tickets. We propose to keep all tickets live in the box office for now so they can be used for rearranged events. You can still donate your ticket by simply allowing it to lapse. We are grateful for any help you can give us. Your support means a great deal to the festival and I thank you in advance.
Some of you have asked whether you can make a cash donation to the festival. We are planning to launch a fundraising appeal. News of this appeal will be posted on our website, and you will receive details if you have subscribed for news of the festival.
Credits
If you would like a credit for future events, please send an email to
credit@oxfordliteraryfestival.org and specify:
the amount you are claiming in credit
the relevant booking references on your tickets
You do not have to claim a credit straightaway. We will keep this system open for the next 12 months, during the period we are rearranging events. This statement will remain on our website for reference. We will also remind you how to claim when we contact you about new dates for the events you have booked.
The credits will remain valid for three years and can be used on rearranged events.
Best wishes
Sally
