Mother and daughter author/illustrator duo Wendy Meddour and Mina May share the highs and lows of adventures in the publishing world, and discover if it’s harder to be a children’s author, an English lecturer and a mother of four, or the youngest professional illustrator in the world – with publishing deadlines, three younger brothers, and too much homework.

Meddour and May are working on their fifth children’s book together. Their internationally best-selling Wendy Quill series first hit the shelves in 2012 (when May was only 11), and has since been translated into 13 languages. When not writing and drawing in their kitchen, they’ve been appearing on Woman’s Hour, BBC Newsround and in front of audiences at the likes of Edinburgh Book Festival.

Discussions are chaired by The Sunday Times children’s books editor Nicolette Jones.
