What on Earth? presenter John Gordon-Reid makes the fabulous plays of William Shakespeare leap to life for all ages – from six to adult – through the amazing new What on Earth? Wallbook of Shakespeare, published in collaboration with the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust. The new Shakespeare wallbook illustrates all 38 plays, all of which you can see being acted out in front of you, the audience, set in the iconic Globe Theatre. The talk explores the world of human emotion – using different coloured pockets in an all-new coat of many pockets to represent jealousy (green), anger (red), riches (gold), love (purple), terror (white), magic (black). Pupils pick the pockets to see what props are inside, and together they explore the world of Shakespeare as a gateway to understanding the entire spectrum of human nature.

What on Earth Publishing Ltd, the company behind the What on Earth? Wallbook was founded by Christopher Lloyd. Lloyd’s books include: What on Earth Happened? and What on Earth Evolved? Lloyd’s presentations, featuring his wallbooks and his coat of many pockets, are extremely popular in schools and at literary festivals across the UK.

This talk will also take place in the marquee at 11am and 4pm on Thursday, March 27, and at 11am and 4pm on Saturday, March 29. The talk is free and no ticket is required.
