Our Covid-19 policy
Oxford Literary Festival is delighted to welcome you back. The safety of our festival-goers, speakers, staff and volunteers is a high priority to us. We will always follow government guidelines on safety and hygiene.
Most of our venues are now operating at full capacity in line with government guidance. Masks are no longer compulsory, but we do kindly recommend you wear one, unless medically exempt, for the continued safety of our audiences, speakers, staff, and out of respect to our venues. We may leave doors open to reduce touchpoints and maximise air flow, so please be prepared to dress accordingly.
Our staff and volunteers will wear face masks and are encouraged to take regular lateral flow tests to ensure they have not tested positive for Covid-19.
Hand sanitiser stations will be provided for your convenience at the doors. Please also follow guidance on routes around venues and seating arrangements, which will be in place for larger events. Main contact areas will be sanitised between events.
We will maintain a list of attendees for the purposes of track and trace. To help with this, we ask you to please book ahead. Box office sales will close 12 hours before events, and there will be no sales on the doors. Payment for books sold at events by Blackwell’s will be by card only.
Please do not attend events if you are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms or have tested positive for Covid-19. We will exchange your ticket for another one or issue a credit for a future event if you cannot attend for this reason.
We will review these measures regularly and update them whenever necessary.
