Ticket priceThe Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies, a recognised independent centre of the University of Oxford, is constructing a unique new building on the Marston Road to house all its academic activities.
The architecture of the building blends traditional Oxford features with the forms and styles of the classical period of Islam and stands as a unique symbol of harmony between two ancient artistic and scholarly traditions.
Visitors will have the opportunity to visit the main areas of the building, which is nearing completion, and to learn about the centre’s work.
Tours, lasting 30 minutes, take place daily between Tuesday, March 25, and Saturday, March 29, at 2pm, 2.30pm and 3pm, at the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies, Marston Road, Oxford.
Note: Tickets are free but must be booked either online, via the links below, or through the festival box office.
Presented by the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies. OCIS is also presenting a special screening on March 28 of Nelson Mandela’s speech made on his 1997 visit to Oxford.
