Historian, academic and politician Dr Frank Moya Pons talks about the history and culture of the Dominican Republic.
Moya Pons is a leading contemporary historian of the Dominican Republic. His well-known books include Between Slavery and Free Labor: The Spanish, The Dominican Republic: A National History and History of the Caribbean: Plantations, Trade, and War in the Atlantic World. He is known for research into slavery in the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean.
Moya Pons has taught history at the Pontifical Catholic University Mother and Teacher in the Dominican Republic and at Columbia and Florida universities in the USA and was a research professor at City College of New York.
