Join Katherine Woodfine, Sufiya Ahmed and Patrice Lawrence to explore the joy of mystery novels and their various books, from Edwardian murder, to World War II spies and unsolved contemporary mystery. A mystery and murder panel for all budding detectives and soon-to-be sleuths.
Woodfine is author of the bestselling Sinclair’s Mysteries, the Taylor & Rose Secret Agents series and other children’s books. Her latest is Taylor & Rose Secret Agents novel is Secrets on the Shore, which finds her sleuths in the seaside town of Rye where they have evidence that a band of German spies are plotting dastardly deeds.
Ahmed’s Rosie Raja is back in an electrifying, codebreaking-filled escapade. After breathtaking adventures in France and Egypt, trusted Rosie is put to the test among code breakers, double-crossers and resistance fighters in Bletchley Park, England, 1942. Rosie and her spy father are working with British agents to keep the Nazis at bay. But with a rumoured Nazi spy working undercover at Bletchley park, who can Rosie trust? And when her father is put in serious danger, will she be able to save him?
Lawrence’s debut young adult novel, Orangeboy, won The Bookseller’s YA Book Prize and the Waterstone’s Children’s Book Prize for Older Children. Her latest book, People Like Stars, is a mystery novel about three 13-year-old strangers connected by one big secret and what happens when their paths cross.
