Pusey House in St Giles was opened in 1884 as a memorial to Edward Bouverie Pusey, Regius Professor of Hebrew and Canon of Christ Church, who was for 40 years a figurehead of the Oxford Movement, a movement of high church members of the Church of England. Its chapel, designed by Temple Moore and decorated by Ninian Comper, is known as a fine example of Gothic design.
