Leading social entrepreneur, philanthropist and campaigner Josh Littlejohn looks back at how he became a successful social entrepreneur and founder of Social Bite and offers some advice about putting purpose ahead of profit in business.
Everything happened after a homeless person walked into the small sandwich shop Littlejohn had opened in Edinburgh. Within ten years he had opened a string of sandwich shops, served Hollywood megastars, raised more than £25 million to combat homelessness and been awarded an MBE. Littlejohn explains what social entrepreneurship is and how the world would be in a much better place if only 20% of entrepreneurs became social entrepreneurs.
‘Josh Littlejohn is a rockstar of social impact’ Irvine Welsh
Littlejohn is the man behind the Social Bite social enterprise that has a mission to end homelessness. He also launched the Social Bite Village, which offers homes to thousands of vulnerable people, and launched The World’s Big Sleepout.
