1 hour
Oxford Martin School: Lecture Theatre
£7 - £12.50
Solicitor and political and women’s rights activist Dr Shola Mos-Shogbamimu digs into roots of racism in the US and the UK, explains how it shows itself in our day-to-day lives and asks us to raise our voices to end oppression.
Mos-Shogbamimu sets out to challenge and asks when White people will progress on race inclusion. She says recent events have shown that Black people are still fighting to be judged by their character rather than the colour of their skin and that there is no freedom without rights and no rights without the freedom to exercise those rights.
Mos-Shogbamimu is a qualified New York attorney and a qualified solicitor in England and Wales. She is founder of the Women in Leadership publication and is routinely seen on Sky News, This Morning, Good Morning Britain, and CNN. Here she talks to former LBC radio host and BBC presenter Matthew Stadlen.
