Jane Corry and Simon Mason chaired Triona Adams

Award-winning crime fiction writers Jane Corry and Simon Mason have both lived in, and written about, Oxford. How has living and working in this extraordinarily multi-faceted city informed their work?

Corry is a former magazine journalist. A spell as writer-in-residence in a prison opened her eyes to how families can be destroyed when someone commits a crime. The experience has inspired her million-selling thrillers, including My Husband’s Wife. Her latest family thriller is Coming to Find You, a dark story of murder and secrets set during World War II and the present day.

Mason’s A Killing in November was the first book in a series featuring DIs Wilkins and Wilkins (no relation) and was followed by his latest, A Broken Afternoon. He is also author of The Rough Guide to Classic Novels, for which he chose, read and wrote pieces on 200 classic novels from all world traditions, from the time of Don Quixote to the present day. Mason is a former managing director of David Fickling Books, where he worked with Philip Pullman and edited his essays, Daemon Voices.
