Former Labour leader Ed Miliband MP talks about some of the big ideas being put forward by people and movements to solve the daunting challenges faced by the world and urges us to think big.

Miliband has been exploring these ideas and movements since 2017 in his award-winning podcast Reasons to be Cheerful. Go Big draws on some of the best ideas for tackling issues around working life, childcare, and climate change. He says they provide a vision of the kind of society we need and show that a better world is possible if we raise our sights and think big.

‘Should be the rallying cry of progressives around the world’ Rutger Bregman

Miliband was Labour leader between 2010 and 2015. He is currently Shadow Secretary of State for Climate Change and Net Zero. Here he talks to the Provost of Worcester College David Isaac.

Previous provost of Worcester College Lectures have been given by Professor Philippe Sands, Sir Antony Sher and Sir Ian McKellan.
