Two Colombian writers, Margarita García Robayo and Juan Sebastián Cárdenas, talk about their work and the Colombian voice.

Robayo was born in Colombia and now lives and teaches in Argentina. She is author of novels including Holiday Heart, winner of the English PEN award, and a collection of novellas and short stories, Fish Soup. The Delivery is her most recent novel published in English. It is a story of family, memory and possibility.

Cárdenas was born in Colombia and now lives in Spain. He was named as one of the Bogota39, a selection of the best young writers in Latin America. His novels include Zumbido and Elástico de sombra. The Devil of the Provinces was longlisted for the National Book Award for Translated Literature. His latest is Peregrino transparente (Transparent Pilgrim), which is the story of an English painter on a scientific tour of Colombia in 1850. The painter becomes obsessed with the life of a local artist and finds himself embroiled in the politics of the young republic.
