HELLO, WELCOME AND MAKE YOURSELVES AT HOME! THE COUNTDOWN STARTS HERE… MARCH 2 - 12.37PM - 2019
Countdown to Oxford’s 2019 International Literary Festival
It’s not often, if ever, that one can confidently predict the future but in this instance I believe I can. Indeed, four weeks from now, I can tell you that at this precise hour I shall be sitting in Oxford’s Sheldonian Theatre listening to Darcey Bussell.
Do I have a Tardis? No. But I do have a programme of this year’s literary festival (and in case you too are a time traveler reading this in the future, I’m referring only to 2019). And after Dame Darcey it’ll be a quick lunch, followed by Lucy Worsley and Martin Rees to keep me company.
Reassuring then isn’t it that in these days of Brexit and Trump there’s still something you can look forward to.
So starting as of now, welcome to this year’s Oxford International Literary Festival blog. In the run up, I’ll keep you informed of any breaking festival news, and in the week before, go full throttle until it’s all over on Sunday April 7.
Looking forward to your company!
