Well they certainly saved the best 'till last! 'An Audience with Toby Jones' was quite simply...electric. A home grown Oxford boy who now appears, it seems, every hour somewhere on radio, television, at the movies or in theatre. An absurdly versatile actor whose filmography reads like a Hollywood A-listers dream, he was in conversation today with Simon Kovesi at the Sheldonian and the audience was rapt from the moment he walked in. Astonishingly charismatic but hugely likeable and down-to-earth too, his one-hour appearance beautifully tied up all the loose ends of this nine day festival - it was funny, dramatic, serious, through-provoking, laugh-out-loud brilliant and very, very modest. Damn, I can't believe it's all over...
