WHOOSH!... AND THERE GOES OUR HISTORY - MARCH 30 - 10.36AM - 2019
Oxford Lit Festival - Best Moments in British History - Mar 30
Damn I love this guy! Christopher Lloyd. And no, not the actor from the ‘Back to The Future’ series although interestingly, in performance at least, there is a certain connectivity of DNA.
Funny, crazy, weird and wonderful, his talks always come with fabulously soundbite-ish titles. For instance, the one I’m attending right now (so…shush!) is called ‘Best Moments in British History’.
And yes, despite the fact these talks/presentations are aimed at families, especially those with younger children, I swear you’d be SCARED by just how bright today’s under-10’s are… FRIGHTENINGLY smart in fact.
Lloyd of course races through our history with all the speed and engineered scattiness of a Bluebottle high on sugar but not once does he leave his audience behind.
Breathless, exhilerating, and fun. And he’s here at the Weston Hall, Bodleian all week.
