Historian and broadcaster Dominic Sandbrook brings history to life for children with a new series of true stories.
Sandbrook describes the Second World War through the eyes of ordinary people, including the factory workers labouring all night and the chess players who cracked seemingly unbreakable codes.
Sandbrook has written eight books for adults and presented several television series on topics from time travel to the Harry Potter series. His 11-year-old son Arthur came up with the idea for his new children’s books after a family trip to the Imperial War Museum.
