The internationally bestselling author of A Series of Unfortunate Events, Lemony Snicket, takes readers on a bewildering and thought-provoking tour of his own predilections.

The book is about bewilderment ‘the feeling of being bewildered’, which means ‘you don’t have any idea what is happening’. It begins with a note under Snicket’s door saying: ‘You had poison for breakfast’. This sets the author off following a winding set of clues to solve the mystery of his own demise. It ranges from the proper way to boil an egg to the pleasures of swimming in open water.

Lemony Snicket is the pen name of American novelist Daniel Handler. His A Series of Unfortunate Events novels for young readers and his picture books have sold more than 80 million copies worldwide.
