Join acclaimed historian, podcast host, and author Tom Holland as he discusses his first book for younger readers The Wolf-Girl, the Greeks and the Gods: a Tale of the Persian Wars.

A reimagining of one of the most momentous events in history with the imagined addition of involvement from the Greek Gods, the book has received critical acclaim across the board, with Stephen Fry saying “I just know that my twelve-year-old self would have fallen on this like a . . .  like a wolf on a lamb.”

Holland has written and presented television documentaries, for the BBC and Channel 4, on subjects ranging from ISIS to dinosaurs. He is also co-presenter of the award-winning podcast with a million downloads every week, The Rest is History. His books for adults include Rubicon: The Triumph and the Tragedy of the Roman Republic, winner of the Hessell-Tiltman Prize for History, Persian Fire, winner of the Anglo-Hellenic League’s Runciman Award, and his most recent novel Pax. He is an honorary fellow of Oxford Literary Festival. Here he talks to writer, journalist and broadcaster Nicolette Jones.
