Renowned public thinker, clinical psychologist and multi-million selling author Dr Jordan Peterson explains how we can balance the two fundamental principles of reality – order and chaos – and find profound meaning on the path that divides them.
Beyond Order is the follow-up to Peterson’s 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos, which sold more than five million copies around the world. Peterson argues that part of life’s meaning comes from reaching out into the domain beyond what we know and adapting to an ever-transforming world. Excess of chaos threatens us with uncertainty, while an excess of order leads to a lack of curiosity and creative vitality.
Peterson is a Canadian clinical psychologist and professor emeritus at the University of Toronto. His online work went viral shortly before the publication of 12 Rules for Life, catapulting him into public prominence as an intellectual and educator. His views on cultural and political issues are often seen as conservative and have gathered him millions of followers. Peterson describes himself as a classic British liberal and a traditionalist.
