Lavie Tidhar Interviewed by Lucian Hudson

Israeli-born writer Lavie Tidhar talks about his new detective noir novel, Maror, a bloody tale of the making of a nation, based on real events.

Tidhar was brought up on a kibbutz in northern Israel. He is a visiting professor and writer in residence at Richmond University, London. Tidhar is a winner of the Jerwood Fiction Uncovered Prize for Best British Fiction for his novel, A Man Lies Dreaming. Here he talks to Professor Lucian Hudson, director of advancement, marketing and communications at Durham University, the festival’s strategic advisor and a past chair of Liberal Judaism.
