Join our panel of leading political and media figures for some lively debate on the hot topics of the hour under the watchful eye of journalist and commentator Yasmin Alibhai Brown. Ticketholders will be invited to email questions shortly before the event, and we’ll pick a representative range of the best for members of the audience to ask on the day.

Grace Blakeley is a staff writer at Tribune Magazine and author of books including Vulture Capitalism: Corporate Crimes, Backdoor Bailouts and the Death of Freedom. She is former economics commentator for the New Statesman and a former research fellow at the Institute for Public Policy Research. Blakeley appears frequently in the media, including on BBC Question Time, ITV’s Good Morning Britain, and Talk TV’s Piers Morgan Uncensored.

Sir Liam Fox MP is a British politician who served as secretary of state for international trade from 2016 to 2019 and secretary of state for defence from 2010 to 2011. A member of the Conservative Party, Fox has served as the Member of Parliament for North Somerset since 1992. His latest book is Rising Tides, Facing the Challenges of a New Era.

Hardeep Matharu is a London-based journalist and writer. She is the Editor of Byline Times, the independent investigative news site and print newspaper covering ‘what the papers don’t say’. Her work focuses on the forces that shape us: identity, politics, and the media. Hardeep has more than a decade’s worth of experience working across regional, national, and independent media.

Peter Oborne is a former political commentator of the Spectator, the Daily Telegraph and Daily Mail. He now writes about politics for Middle East Eye. He is the author of books including The Triumph of the Political Class, The Rise of Political Lying, and The Assault on Truth: Boris Johnson, Donald Trump and the Emergence of a New Moral Barbarism.

Alibhai-Brown is a British journalist and author who has written extensively on issues of diversity and social justice. Her books include In Defence of Political Correctness, Refusing The Veil and Exotic England: The Making of A Curious Nation.
