Oxford has been described as ‘a city steeped in storytelling’, its ‘dreaming spires’ home to countless writers over the years. The literary Oxford walking tour explores this city of books, uncovering some well-known authors and some not so well-known.
There are fascinating stories to be told. From English classics to modern writers, Oxford has fired the imagination and produced extraordinary characters, real and fictional.
Please book these tours via the festival website. Other Bodleian walking tours and library tours can be booked through the Bodleian website.
Please arrive 10 minutes before your tour start time. Meeting point is the Weston Library steps.
