Amber Guinness Interviewed by Alison Gomm

Cook, food writer and journalist Amber Guinness talks about the meeting of art and food that inspires her Arniano Painting School in Tuscany.

Guinness grew up at the Arniano farmhouse and established the painting school there in 2014 with her friend and painter William Roper-Curzon.  The week-long courses are designed to emulate the glamorous house parties her parents hosted in the 1980s and 1990s. Guinness shares some of the recipe ideas and stories from Arniano.  Italian cooking is about bringing out the best in what you are cooking, through patience, constant tasting and the development of flavour, she says.

Guinness continues to run the Arniano Painting School and cook for guests. She also writes about Italy including for The Times, Telegraph and Tatler. Here she talks to Alison Gomm, a regular interviewer at literary festivals who loves nothing more than encouraging writers to talk about themselves.
