Producer, anthologist and ‘laureate of walking’ Duncan Minshull is joined by novelist and journalist Will Self to talk about a new collection of stories that capture the magic and life-enriching experience of taking a walk.

Where My Feet Fall is a collection of 20 stories by outstanding writers brought together by Minshull. It seeks to answer the questions: why do we walk? where do we walk from? and where can a walk take you? The writers include Self, Harland Miller, Ingrid Persaud, Agnes Poirier, Kamila Shamsie, Jessica J Lee, and Keshava Guha. Self’s story finds him hoping to avoid landmines on the shores of Foulness Island.

Minshull has been described as the laureate of walking. His previous books include While Wandering, The Burning Leg and Beneath My Feet. Self is author of 11 novels and of short stories, essays and works of non-fiction. He is a regular columnist for national newspapers and has been a panellist and presenter on BBC shows such as Have I Got News for You and Shooting Stars. Here they talk to writer and English lecturer Dr Sally Bayley.
