Former diplomatic editor at Sky News and bestselling writer Tim Marshall says humans are about to take their power struggles into space.

Marshall argues astropolitics could see spy satellites orbiting the moon, space metals worth more than most countries’ GDPs and people on Mars within 10 years. What happens in space will shape human history as much as the mountains and rivers have on Earth. Marshall looks at the new space race and great power rivalry, technology, economics, and war and explains what it will mean for us on Earth.

Marshall spent 30 years reporting on foreign affairs for Sky, the BBC and LBC/IRN radio. His book, Prisoners of Geography: Ten Maps that Tell You Everything You Need to Know About Global Politics, sold two million copies worldwide and was followed by another bestseller, The Power of Geography.
