Miller and Evans are both novelists, avid readers of everything from old classics to the buzziest up-and-coming releases, and both have worked in the book world. They’ll chat about their latest novels, but also about the world of books and reading. What books going under the radar would they recommend to readers? What are their favourite Oxford-set novels? Miller is a winner of The Poetry Prize, a graduate of the Faber Academy and a part-time bookseller. Her latest novel is The Eights, a story of four young women among the first female students at the University of Oxford in the 1920s. Misogyny is still rife, influenza remains a threat and the ghosts of World War are still very real.

Evans is a former publisher at Penguin and author of 13 bestselling novels including Beloved Girls and The Garden of Lost and Found, winner of the Good Housekeeping’s Book of the Year. Her latest is The Treasures, the first in the Sevenstones trilogy that follows the loves and lives of its members over 50 years and three generations.
