Egyptologist Professor Toby Wilkinson celebrates the 100th anniversary of the breaking open of Tutankhamun’s tomb with a look at some of the treasures found by Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon.

Wilkinson takes the objects buried with the king and uses them to paint a detailed portrait of ancient Egypt, including its geography, history, culture and legacy. He says the treasures are witnesses of the civilization that created them, and they tell us about the extraordinary development of Egyptian culture, its flourishing and its lasting impact.

Wilkinson is an acclaimed Egyptologist and author of 12 books, including The Rise and Fall of Ancient Egypt, The Nile and A World Beneath the Sands.
