Author and expert on digital addiction and technology dependency Tanya Goodin and BBC chief technology correspondent Rory Cellan-Jones discuss our relationship with the technology that has come to dominate our lives.

In My Brain Has Too Many Tabs Open: How to Untangle Our Relationship with Tech, Goodin looks at how you can have a better relationship with your smartphone and a happier life. She looks at the cost of our digital life on our offline existence and what we should do to protect our mental health and our relationships. Goodin is a regular commentator on digital addiction and technology dependency on mainstream news channels and founder of the wellbeing movement, Time to Log Off.

In Always On: Hope and Fear in the Social Smartphone Era, Cellan-Jones looks at key moments of the technology era and explains how the smartphone is bringing radical changes to the way we live and work. And he looks at how COVID-19 made us think again about how we can use computing to face the greatest challenges of our age. Cellan-Jones has been reporting on technology since the late 1990s including the rise of Google and Facebook and the arrival of devices such as the Psion organiser and the iPad.
